Key Responsibilities of the School Catering Supervisor

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day running of the catering service:

• Food Production & Menu Planning: Support the planning and execution of daily menus and food production schedules.
• Safety and Hygiene: Oversee meal service and maintain accurate hygiene and safety records.
• Stock Management: Manage stock levels, ordering, deliveries, and monitor cost control.
• Team Leadership: Lead, support, train, and develop the catering staff team.
• Customer Service: Actively promote a positive and enjoyable dining experience for all.

Requirements for the Ideal Candidate

• Proven Experience: Significant experience in large-scale catering, ideally in the education sector.
• Qualifications: Essential Hygiene Certificate (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene); a formal catering qualification is also desirable.
• Leadership Skills: Strong organisation, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Commitment: A positive approach with high personal standards and commitment to healthy eating.
• DBS Check: Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
