Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Catering provision at Falinge Park High School. We are looking for someone with creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for food with excellent communication skills and an excellent understanding of how to manage nutritional and dietary requirements in a high school environment. We require a Catering Manager who will complement and lead our wider catering team in school.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the whole school catering provision; oversee the performance of the catering operation.
• Plan and produce termly menus, taking into account legislative requirements and the needs of the young people and staff.
• Develop and progress the catering provision to deliver healthy and high-quality meals that meet Nutritional Standards.
• Negotiate best value contracts with authorised suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness of the catering service.
• Ensure the attractiveness of the catering provision, including food presentation and the eating environment.
• Produce meals within a set budget.
• Work under pressure with professionalism and a sense of humour.
• Demonstrate excellent people skills and tact and diplomacy.
• Fulfil relevant qualifications requirements and maintain appropriate professional standards.
