Job description

We are looking for a Catering/ Facilities Supervisor to provide effective leadership to the Facilities staff within the Facilities Department and to be responsible for co-ordination of duties throughout the Department within an allocated area.

Responsible for ward meal orders, stock control and team scheduling.

To be instrumental in the development of quality initiatives and in ensuring the effectiveness of your team

To organise the allocation of staff within the Department, so that all duties are covered by the flexible use of staff to ensure the smooth running of the service.

Areas of responsibility include Patient Dining and Retail Catering, Domestic Cleaning Services, Waste, Portering, Security, Switchboard, Linen and Post

Working pattern over a 2 week rota with alternate week-ends.

Enhanced hourly pay rates at week-ends equating to £15.75ph on Saturdays and £19.72ph on Sundays

Main duties of the job

Leading ward catering assistants to ensure that the shift runs efficiently. To be instrumental in the development of quality initiatives and in ensuring excellent service provision and adherence to Trust policies and procedures. This post is a key link between the Facilities Site Manager for the further development of the service for both patients and staff. To liaise directly with the hospital wards and patients as part of the Department's quality initiatives.
