Position Summary

An exciting opportunity is now available for a permanent part‑time catering team member with North Tees and Hartlepool Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in designated work areas following documented cleaning schedules.
  • Assist with utensil and crockery processing using a mechanical dishwasher.
  • Operate heavy‑duty floor cleaning equipment.
  • Basic preparation and cooking of food items such as hot sandwiches, hot snacks, chips and other food‑safe items.
  • Record and monitor food temperatures, fridge and freezer temperatures, and ensure food is within its use‑by date.
  • Report faults, accidents and adverse incidents.
  • Serve food to customers and demonstrate excellent customer care, courtesy, and politeness.
  • Replenish and merchandise all food display units, keeping accurate records.
  • Adhere at all times to all Trust policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Honest, enthusiastic, hardworking and committed.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work flexibly without direct supervision.
  • Experience in food service or a related role is desirable.
