We have an exciting opportunity at our school site in New Malden, KT2 7DD for a Catering Assistant to join the team at Accent. This is a permanent position, working 16 hours per week, Monday 10:15am to 2:15pm and Tuesday to Friday, 11:15am to 2:15pm term-time only – so all the school holidays off!

Key responsibilities

• General kitchen duties
• Putting away deliveries
• Food preparation
• Serving, cleaning and washing up
• Assisting with inventory management
• Maintaining high standards of presentation of food and replenishing counters keeping them looking attractive throughout the service time
• Speaking to each customer in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
• Undertaking all basic training and working effectively with colleagues as part of a team

Additional skills & qualifications

This is a customer facing position; in addition to the above you will also need good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the English language. Experience in a similar role would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
