Job summary

A leading facilities management company in the United Kingdom is seeking candidates for a kitchen role. Responsibilities include food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and serving items to customers. Ideal candidates possess time management skills and the ability to work under pressure. A basic Catering and Hospitality certificate is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided. Candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK and be prepared for a security check.

Qualifications

  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Must be prepared to undergo a DBS or Enhanced security check.
  • Good time-management and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads.
  • Be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment.
  • Assist with receiving and unpacking all deliveries and ensure that the food and supply storage areas are organised.
  • Serve food items to customers in accordance with the menu prepared by the Chefs.
  • Top up the vending services daily.
  • Commercial kitchen experience is highly valued but not essential.
  • Possess a basic Catering and Hospitality certificate such as Food Handling or equivalent is desired but not essential.
  • Must have basic knife skills, food preparation skills, and time management skills.
  • Can work under pressure and excellent organisational skills are also important.
  • Can stand for extended periods due to the physical nature of the job.
