Job summary

A leading educational staffing agency in Cardiff is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to support young children from 6 weeks to 5 years in a nurturing environment. Qualifications

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to work across a range of nurseries in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated early years professionals who are committed to providing high‑quality childcare and creating inclusive, nurturing learning environments.

The Role

You will support children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, helping to create a calm, welcoming, and safe environment where children feel confident to explore, learn, and develop independently.

Key Skills
  • Excellent communication skills with children and staff
  • Strong observational and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Assist in creating a stimulating and attractive environment for the children.
  • Always maintain confidentiality.
  • Provide attentive and personalised care to children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
  • Support children with daily routines, including feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development (CCPLD) or Early Years Practitioner Status (Level 2 will be considered for some placements)
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in an Early Years setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Welsh speaking is desirable but not essential
