A public services company in Wigston seeks a Case Administrator to handle essential clerical tasks and administration for offenders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and administrative skills. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, collaborating with teams, and ensuring compliance with legal frameworks while adapting to a fast-paced environment. Hours – Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Processing records in line with legal frameworks and operating procedures. This will include generating and safe handling of all documentation relating to offenders residing and of all new arrivals at HMP Fosse Way.
To ensure a high level of security and confidentiality is maintained in relation to staff and prisoners, and that all information, both written and oral, is treated confidentially. A key element of this role is computer based working therefore you will need to possess high level office base skills.
You will be required to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally with external agencies including Police (IOM), Probation, Magistrates and Crown Courts and other prisons to ensure that all offenders that are received in custody have the appropriate documentation.
You will be required to attend and complete mandatory prison service training to enable you to carry out all case administration duties as stated in the specific requirements.
You will demonstrate a positive attitude to collaboration, be able to work at pace under pressure, show flexibility in the workplace and react quickly to change being agile in approach. The OMU environment is fast and dynamic, this requires a high degree of adaptability and self‑motivation.
