Overview

Carpenter / Joiner – Cambridge £27k - £30k PAYE We are seeking a skilled Carpenter / Joiner to join a busy estates and maintenance team. The role involves carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive carpentry works across a large, complex site. You will be responsible for routine and non‑routine maintenance, repairs, installations and refurbishment works, working to a high standard of safety, quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out carpentry and joinery works from drawings, specifications and instructions with minimal supervision
  • Undertake repairs, installations, refurbishments and planned maintenance
  • Carry out glazing repairs and ceiling installations (metal and fibre)
  • Safely use carpentry tools, woodworking machinery and access equipment
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and understand interdependencies
  • Support and assist with apprentice supervision where required
  • Complete inspections and preventative maintenance checks
  • Communicate professionally with managers, staff, visitors and service users
  • Accurately complete job tickets, timesheets and maintenance records using CAFM systems
  • Work at height and outdoors when required
Requirements
