A primary school in Tipton is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to improve and maintain site facilities while ensuring a safe environment for students. The position is for 32.5 hours per week across a 52-week contract. St Martin’s C of E Primary are looking for a new caretaker!
Our shift pattern is 6:45am‑9:45am and 2:45pm‑6:15pm.
Our school is one of the oldest in Sandwell, a Victorian building in generous and beautiful grounds. We are all proud of our school environment and we have worked hard to create it and we have lots of plans to develop it even further, so we need someone special to work with us to make that happen.
The role is for 52 weeks of the year (some holidays are set during periods where the school does not open in school holidays, the remaining holiday entitlement can be requested during school holiday periods.)
The Governors wish to recruit a caretaker to improve and maintain our site facilities. The post will support our commitment to provide a safe environment in which to work and learn.

The school has a duty to safeguard our children and therefore expects all staff to adhere to our Safeguarding Policy and participate in annual safeguarding training. As part of the appointment procedure all staff have to undergo a DBS disclosure which will report cautions as well as convictions. Pre‑employment checks will be carried out in line with KCSIE. Band C 5-8 FTE £25,583 - £26,824 (Actual Pro Rata Salary £22,471 - £23,561)
