A leading supported housing organisation for 16-25 year olds is seeking a proactive and reliable caretaker to join their facilities team. This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity offering long‑term stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a vital service supporting young people.

About the Role

You will provide day‑to‑day caretaking, maintenance and site support across several services within the West Midlands. Working as part of a friendly estates team, you will ensure buildings are safe, clean, and well‑maintained, contributing to a welcoming environment for young residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs, basic maintenance, and safety checks
• Support with site security, cleanliness, and general upkeep
• Respond to maintenance requests across multiple sites
• Report and escalate any health & safety concerns
• Work closely with managers and housing teams to keep services running smoothly

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (essential – travel to multiple sites required)
• Previous experience in maintenance, caretaking, facilities, or a similar role
• Basic skills in repairs, DIY, and general building upkeep
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
