Caretaker - Supported Housing (16-25 Services)

Location: Across the West Midlands (multiple sites)
Salary: Up to £28,000 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Start: ASAP

A leading supported housing organisation for 16-25 year olds is seeking a proactive and reliable Caretaker to join their facilities team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a vital service supporting young people.

About the Role:

You will provide day-to-day caretaking, maintenance and site support across several services within the West Midlands. Working as part of a friendly estates team, you will ensure buildings are safe, clean, and well-maintained, contributing to a welcoming environment for young residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out general repairs, basic maintenance, and safety checks
  • Support with site security, cleanliness, and general upkeep
  • Respond to maintenance requests across multiple sites
  • Report and escalate any health & safety concerns
  • Work closely with managers and housing teams to keep services running smoothly
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving licence (essential - travel to multiple sites required)
  • Previous experience in maintenance, caretaking, facilities, or a similar role
  • Basic skills in repairs, DIY, and general building upkeep
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
