Choices Homecare are seeking compassionate Domiciliary Care Workers for our locations across the Doncaster region.

About Choices Homecare

Choices Homecare are proudly part of the Optimo Care Group that supports service users across the UK with over 1,500 dedicated employees and a strong presence across multiple regions. We collaborate closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and care professionals to deliver outcome-focused care.

Working Hours and Flexibility

Our service provides care 7 days a week between 07:00 - 22:00. We welcome applicants who seek both full‑time and part‑time hours. Flexible zero‑hour contracts allow you to work as many hours as you’d like, with a minimum of 20 hours each week including every other weekend. Rota is a simple 2‑week rolling schedule so you always know your schedule in advance.

Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
  • Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking where required.
  • Promote independence and encourage service users to engage in daily living tasks.
  • Build positive relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Support emotional well‑being and recognise signs of distress or changes in behaviour.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home.
  • Respect confidentiality and always maintain professional boundaries.
What You’ll Need

  • UK driving licence and own vehicle essential within certain routes/locations (We pay 30p per mile fuel allowance).

To Note

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have current and valid permission to work in the UK. You will need a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle. To cover travel between clients, you will also need business use included on your car insurance – this is usually a quick and inexpensive addition to your existing policy.
