Overview
Onecare-UK Ltd is a Homecare and supported living service provider that has built a reputation on quality. We have an opportunity for a Care Worker who is organised, reliable, and a team player. This is an important role to ensure quality care is delivered to the service users. Our service users live throughout London and require care and support in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Generally, assist with service users’ comfort and well-being.
- Assist and enable service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and bathe.
- Serve meals to service users at the table or in bed and assist with feeding if required.
- Provide interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service users.
- Help with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, and collecting benefits.
- Undertake cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required.
- Monitor service users’ conditions by taking temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight, and contribute to record keeping.
- Liaise with professional staff in carrying out care plans, etc.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documentation held in service users’ folders and that all written reports and administration are up to date.
- Management of medication.
- Record all necessary information clearly and legibly in line with record-keeping policies and procedures.
- Respond to complaints and queries from service users to coordinators.
- Liaise with carers/service users ensuring they are informed of any changes.
- Have the ability to work in a multi-agency approach.
- Follow the rota as allocated by the coordinators for domiciliary care services.
- Liaise closely with the coordinators regarding effective rota management, recruitment, permanent allocation of care & support workers, and the writing of Care & Support Plans.
- Ensure all services are compliant with the legislation, safeguarding, Health & Safety per CQC standards regulations.

- Caring, diplomatic, and able to recognise signs when the client is stressed and needs support.
- To be enthusiastic, outgoing, reliable, excellent timekeeping, patient, and persistent.
Knowledge and Expertise
- 1-2 years’ care experience.
- Some experience in caring for clients in their own home.
- NVQ Care Level 2 or 3.
- Preferably driving license holder/ car driving experience.
