Job description

Personpower is proud to be working with a well-established and highly regarded Children’s Residential provider based in Colchester for young people aged between 8 - 17 with emotional and behavioural needs.

The Role

As a Care Support Mentor, you will support the team in the day-to-day running of the home, on a 3 days on with 1 sleep in and 4 days off basis. You will lead by example, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support young people with their daily routines, including education, hobbies, and household tasks
  • Provide emotional support and act as a positive role model
  • Help plan and take part in recreational activities, trips, and group outings
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, schools, and professionals
  • Ensure safeguarding and children’s welfare remain at the heart of everything you do
