CARE PRACTITIONER

Anderson’s is a residential care service in Elgin. We provide a range of care and support services for our older residents, some of whom have dementia. Our main priority for this job role is to find people with the right values, behaviours and attitudes that match our own!

We require two Care Practitioners to be employed on a permanent basis. You will be required to work 30 hours per week. Your rota will be provided to you at least two weeks in advance, which includes working every second weekend.

What you need:
  • SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is essential.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A warm and caring approach with good verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Genuine interest in and experience of working with older persons.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Appreciation of the need for confidentiality.
  • Team player.

  • Commitment to work towards gaining your SVQ 3 within the first 18 months of commencing employment with us.
Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate care to residents during the night shift, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Monitor and document changes in residents’ health and behaviour, reporting any concerns to the shift leader.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • You should be SSSC registered or able to commit to registering before completion of three months of employment.

Our home is staffed 24/7 and we have a variety of shifts in operation.

Rate of pay: £14.38 per hour.
