Care Manager Residential Mental Health Care Home (Worthing)

Salary : £36,000 Hours : Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Residents : 1518 adults (predominantly male), aged 24-65

We are seeking a dedicated Care Manager to lead our highly committed team in a residential mental health care home in Worthing. Our residents live with conditions such as paranoid schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar disorder and depression. They are largely independent with tasks like personal care, cleaning their room or laundry but may require gentle prompting based on their mental state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff rota management - create, update and ensure safe staffing levels
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, offering calm, consistent support
  • Maintain regular communication with mental health professionals, GPs and external agencies
  • Lead and support a loyal staff team (90% long-term employees), including rotas, supervision and training
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, medication records, and accurate daily documentation
  • Ensure CQC compliance, conduct audits, maintain policies, submit notifications and prepare for inspections
