Care Assistant – Extra Care – South Shields

Cera is recruiting Care Assistants for our Extra Care service in South Shields.

Are you kind, a people person, and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives?

No experience is required — just a caring nature and a willingness to help others. This is secure work with good pay, excellent training, and flexible shifts from 7am–3pm or 3pm–10pm. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

About the role:

Extra Care units provide residents with self-contained living spaces supported by on-site care staff. As a Care Assistant, you’ll help residents live independently, following personalized care plans. Responsibilities include assisting with housework, morning routines, meal preparation, companionship, medication, and personal care. The role is about offering friendship, encouragement, and support during challenging times.
