Care Assistant

Based in Dereham

Salary: £13.20 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile

Areas covered: Dereham, Shipdham, Mattishall, Hockering, East Tuddenham, Beetley, Gressenhall and the surrounding areas.

Hours: 6.30am-2.30pm and 3pm-11pm, 4/3 shift pattern / Part Time Hours / Must be available every other weekend

Driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred

No experience necessary – paid training and induction to ensure you feel confident in your role.

In this role as Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, well‑being, and independence of vulnerable individuals within the comfort of their own homes. You will:

Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate support with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence care—always with dignity and respect.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as preparing nutritious meals, light housekeeping, and occasional shopping to help maintain a comfortable home environment.
  • Support with medication routines, ensuring individuals receive the right help at the right time, with full training provided.
  • Offer meaningful companionship, bringing warmth, reassurance, and social interaction to brighten someone’s day.
Qualifications
  • Kind, reliable and caring individuals.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for accurate record‑keeping.
  • Willingness to learn and share our values: commitment to positive change, trust, professional excellence, and delivering personalised care.
  • Right to work in the UK. No Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship.
  • Driving licence and own vehicle preferred.
