Responsibilities

Care Assistants come from diverse backgrounds. You will help residents stay as active and independent as possible while respecting their rights of choice, privacy and dignity. You will have fun and laughter with residents, use your skills to support day-to-day needs such as personal care and meal times, and work as part of a team to identify individual goals and implement personalised care plans. You will help residents explore new interests, support physical exercise and activities, and ensure a stimulating, homely environment. In short, you will make a real difference in their lives.

Qualifications

Experience caring for others is useful but not required. A kind-hearted nature, teamwork mindset, initiative, imagination, ability to follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload are key. You should be comfortable talking to and working with people from different professions and be good at keeping records. Most importantly, you should want to help improve the lives of others and be prepared for work that can be hard yet rewarding.
