About the Role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to join our Onsite Restaurant team at Booker. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring our catering operations run smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to customers.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Operate tills and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
  • Support stock control by monitoring supplies and reporting shortages.
  • Comply with all food safety, health and safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Assist with setting up and clearing down the restaurant before and after service.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to meet daily operational needs.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service is desirable but not essential, training will be provided.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure during busy periods.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene standards or level 2 training can be provided.

The Hours for this role are Monday - Friday 12pm-8pm
