Job description
Overview

The post holder will have responsibility for co‑ordinating the activities of the cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings & supporting multiple cancer patient PTLs. This will include liaising with a number of departments within the Trust & other hospitals. The post holder will be involved in providing core services to ensure that a comprehensive list of patients is formulated & all documentation is available for the MDT meetings. Ensuring the meetings run effectively, are well structured & all patient discussions are accurately recorded on the Somerset Cancer Register (SCR). This role is generic & the post holder will be expected to work as part of a team to provide cover for other members of the CPPC team across UHNM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the cancer MDT meetings and support multiple cancer patient PTLs.
  • Liaise with various departments within the Trust and other hospitals.
  • Ensure a comprehensive list of patients is formulated for MDT consideration.
  • Confirm all documentation is available and accurately recorded on the Somerset Cancer Register (SCR).
  • Run meetings effectively, ensuring they are well structured and patient discussions are recorded.
  • Provide cover for other members of the CPPC team as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Patient focused, with excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
  • Familiarity with Trust administration systems.
  • Previous experience working in a cancer services team and understanding of the CWT rules is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience with transferable skills will also be considered.
