A leading health care provider in Bradford is seeking a dedicated professional to lead the Strengthening Families CAMHS team, focusing on child and adolescent mental health services. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team, setting performance targets, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong operational management and leadership skills, ensuring a supportive environment for staff. The Strengthening Families CAMHS team works directly into the Children and Family's Trust Strengthening Families team, working with social care colleagues to support children on the edge or care or where there are plans for reunification with their family. The CAMHS team are small multi-disciplinary, including Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Family Therapists. The team sits under the Children in Special Circumstances Portfolio.
This is a unique opportunity to lead and support change within a team that is currently undergoing transformation. Alongside the clinical leadership and service management you will lead service development, working with enthusiastic, experienced and skilled practitioners. The role requires a values-led practitioner, with strong operational management and leadership skills. You will work closely with colleagues in the management team to lead clinically led service wide quality improvement and provide a psychologically safe environment for staff to enable them to deliver the best quality care. The role will require you to lead your people and effectively communicate, being able to judge a situation and support your staff and management colleagues. You will work to ensure your teams are motivated, engaged and resourced effectively whilst supporting the strategic goals of the organisation and the objectives of your teams.
You will set performance targets and continually review progress by creating action plans to improve performance, finding solutions to problems and develop and drive continuous improvement strategies.
The post holder will provide leadership, managerial and supervisory responsibility for a group of practitioners working as a multidisciplinary team providing specialist child and adolescent mental health services.
Key partnerships include the Children and Families trust, adult mental health services, learning disability services, social care, education, consultation to Primary care colleagues, other providers of support within the Thrive Framework across the district.
