This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses to work within the CAMHS Crisis Liaison/Single Point of Access Team based in Tonteg Hospital.
The CAMHS Service has a number of bases across the locality which includes Tonteg Hospital, Carnegie Clinic in Rhondda, KHHP in Merthyr and Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend.
The post holders will manage their own caseload and provide timely assessment, risk management and follow up intervention for children and young people presenting in crisis related to mental health e.g. acute psychosis, eating disorder or intent to inflict harm upon themselves and/or others.
To provide triage, assessments of all referrals in to the service, establish the most appropriate sign posting and allocation of the referral to meet the needs of the young person.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn\'t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn\'t need to have skills in Welsh, we\'ll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn\'t \'fluency\', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
