A leading healthcare provider in London is looking for a specialist to perform psychological assessments and deliver both individual and group therapy for children and young people. The role focuses on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and may include supervision of Assistant Psychologists. Ideal candidates will possess relevant psychological qualifications and experience with diverse therapeutic approaches.
The post holder will deliver specialist psychological assessments and both individual and group interventions for children and young people referred to the Westminster CAMHS Emotional Disorders sub-team. The primary therapeutic modalities will be Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and third-wave CBT approaches (including ACT and CFT). Experience in additional psychological models is desirable, as more complex presentations may require an integrative approach. The role may also include providing supervision to colleagues such as Assistant Psychologists.
The Westminster CAMHS service is based at Woodfield Road, and is well connected by public transport. The team is well established and is staffed by a large multi-disciplinary team of clinicians with a wide range of skills trained to clinically think from a diverse a range of therapeutic approaches.
We aim to provide an accessible, flexible and responsive local service for patients and professionals working with children in the area using the whole range of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, systemic and family Therapy, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Psychoeducation, DBT therapy groups and as well as Positive Behaviour Support.
Westminster CAMHS consists of four main sub-teams: Emotional Disorders Team; Neurodevelopmental Team; Enhanced Treatment Team, and Early Intervention Team. Our service also provides a range of supervision opportunities and is committed to provide continued professional development.
