Job summary

A leading construction consulting firm in Manchester seeks an experienced CAD Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing technical drawings, designing access and junctions, and creating high-quality graphics. Ideal candidates will have formal education in Civil Engineering or Transport Planning, along with at least 2 years' experience in highway design or transport planning. Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in highway design or transport planning.
• Formal education (HNC/HND/Degree) in relevant field.
• High standards of work ethic and communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Swept Path Analysis using AutoTrack.
• Create high-quality graphics using GIS or Corel Draw.

Our client is currently seeking a CAD Technician who has at least 2 years’ experience, preferably in highway design or within a transport planning practice.

As a member of the team, your responsibilities will include producing and highways and junction design using software’s such as AutoCAD. You will also be designing other drawings such as car parks, bus stations, cycle routes etc.

The role:

• Preparation oftechnical drawingsutilising AutoCAD.
• Preliminarydesign of accessand basicjunction design(priority, roundabouts, signalisation);
• Swept Path Analysisusing AutoTrack.
• Preparationofhigh-quality graphicsusingGISpackages and/ or Corel Draw.
• Excellentcommunicationskills; and

What you need to succeed:

• Formal educationin either Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning (HNC/HND/Degree).
• Preferable experience in the field ofdevelopmentfocusedtransport planning.
• Excellentcommunication skillswith a high standard ofwork ethic; and
• Accuracy, attention to detail and ability towork proactivelyand use initiative.
