Job description

There's a growing technical team out there looking for an Architectural Technician who genuinely enjoys getting into the detail - the real nuts-and-bolts stuff that makes buildings actually work. If you're someone who takes pride in clean drawings, well-resolved junctions and product details that won't cause a melting on site, you'll feel right at home here.

They work across residential projects ranging from small single homes to massive multi-phase schemes with hundreds of units. The scale shifts, but the expectation stays the same: accurate, considered, coordinated drawings that properly reflect the products being used and meet the technical requirements. They want someone who actually cares about getting the details right, not someone who's ticking boxes.

Here’s what you’d be doing:

• Developing construction-issue details, sections and elevations that properly integrate the company's product solutions
• Swapping out tender-stage products for their own systems and updating drawings so everything aligns
• Producing marked-up elevations, take-offs, and manufacturing information that production can trust
• Working closely with clients, architects and contractors during design meetings and technical reviews
• Managing your own projects from a technical perspective, keeping communication clear and expectations aligned
• Bringing structural engineer inputs into your drawings without losing accuracy or clarity
• Understanding the build sequence so what you draw actually works in real life
• Helping the team spot opportunities to simplify details, save time and keep projects on budget
• Supporting the wider technical and design teams when issues crop up that need quick, sensible solutions

This isn't a role where you sit in a corner churning out drawings without context. They want someone who asks questions, checks the logic and isn't shy about raising a flag if something looks off.

To enjoy the job, you'll need:

• Strong AutoCAD skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings confidently
