Job summary

A leading design and manufacturer of electronic test instruments in the UK is seeking a CAD Design Engineer based in Cambridgeshire. The successful candidate will design 2D and 3D CAD layouts, including schematics and assembly drawings for electronic products. Applicants should have a degree in Electronic Engineering or CAD and experience in PCB design and 3D CAD packages, ideally E-CAD or CADSTAR. A hybrid working model is available, with an early finish on Fridays.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CAD Design Engineer based in Cambridgeshire to join one of the leading design and manufacturers of electronic test instruments and laboratory power supplies in Europe.

Supplying to over fifty countries, my client is one of the largest distributors of test and measurement equipment in the UK representing many leading American, European and Japanese producers within the UK market.

Due to expansion, they require a CAD Design Engineer who will be involved in the design of 2D and 3D CAD layouts for electronic products, including schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs and assembly drawings as part of the design output documentation.

A successful candidate for this CAD Design Engineer role based in Cambridgeshire will need:

• Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering, CAD or equivalent
• Experience of PCB design/layout.
• 3D CAD package, ideally E-CAD or CADSTAR
• Experience around Electro-Mechanical products
