Job summary

A well-established manufacturing company in Daventry is seeking a Design & Production Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and developing CAD concepts using CATIA V5, creating detailed CAD models, and finalising designs for production. Candidates must possess a degree or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering, be skilled in CATIA V5, and have experience in quality management systems. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of £37,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering.
• Skilled in generating and developing CAD concepts using CATIA V5.
• Experience in quality management systems and automotive environments.

Metalis are currently working with a well-established manufacturer who are looking for a Design & Production Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Generate and develop CAD concepts using CATIA V5
• Create detailed CAD models and drawings
• Finalise design for production release
• Develop and validate process flow, PFMEA, control plans and SOPs
• Resolve design and process issues promptly
• Present design proposals and solutions in review meetings
• Review first off parts with the quality team
• Implement design or process adjustments as required
• Heading up continuous improvements activities

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering (or equivalent)
• Skilled in CATIA V5
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Experience using quality management systems
• Familiar with APQP, PFMEA, control plans and lean manufacturing methods
• Automotive experience (preferred)

Salary & Shift

• 37,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
