Are you a Buyer with experience in raw materials purchasing looking for your next step? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where the products you help source genuinely change lives - giving you a true sense of pride and reward in your work. We’re looking for someone with experience purchasing raw materials (foam, plastics, and upholstery ideal but not necessary), ready to step into a role with autonomy and ownership. You’ll be the sole Buyer for one manufacturing site, managing the full supplier relationship cycle from negotiation through to contracts. This role is ideal for a Junior Buyer or Buying Coordinator ready to progress, or an experienced Buyer seeking a meaningful role with impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage material requirements planning (MRP).
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best value and performance.
• Run supplier reviews and draft supplier contracts.
• Sourcing and onboarding new suppliers.
• Authorise invoices and ensure cost targets are achieved.
• Build strong, lasting supplier relationships.

Details

• Salary up to £32,000.
• Based in Halifax, West Yorkshire (fully office-based).
• Weekly travel to Staffordshire site (pool car provided) so driving license is required.
• Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00-4:30 (occasional flexibility needed).
