A recruitment agency is seeking a Buyer for the Liverpool Bay Project in Talacre, UK. Job description

Purpose of the position: As Buyer, you will report to the Site manager on a daily basis. You will be part of the Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage). You will be the focal point for all the buying activities of the project onsite (direct&indirect, goods&services).

Responsibilities

• Manage in autonomy the Purchase Requisitions received from the section lead for any goods and services
• Review the PR to ensure they are complete and consistent with the budget and technical needs of the project
• Prepare a tender strategy with proper documents to explain our procurement process to vendors with the relevant timelines and qualification information
• Liaise with bidders, inspectors, vendors and the Kingston office on a daily basis to ensure all the parties understood the needs and requests
• Support the vendors during the preparation of the technical/commercial proposals with obligation of confidentiality
• Compare different proposals from vendors and suggest actions to be taken in order to improve project results

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as Buyer or equivalent for both goods and services in the Oil&Gas or Energy industry
• Technical skills: Goods and services purchasing strategy
• IT skills: SAP, MS365

• Contractor role, full time, (up to 5,5 days/week when potentially needed) till 2028

• Start date: January 2026 in Kingston upon Thames (London area) for a training period then February 2026 onsite in Talacre
