What You’ll Do

As a Buyer, you will immerse yourself in a diverse range of procurement activities that underpin the success of advanced manufacturing operations.

  • Coordinating purchase requisitions by raising purchase orders and closely monitoring supplier delivery dates to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Developing effective relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Taking responsibility for all purchasing projects as assigned by the Procurement Manager, including those involving site services, production composites materials, machined metallics, and other general commodities on an international scale.
  • Negotiating purchases of goods and services with a focus on achieving optimal cost, quality, and lead time outcomes for the organisation.
What You Bring

Your proven track record in purchasing within a manufacturing setting equips you with the practical knowledge needed to navigate complex supply chains efficiently.

  • Demonstrable purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • A solid understanding of MRP systems.
  • CIPS or MCIPS qualification is essential.
  • Experience within the aerospace or composites industry would be advantageous as it provides valuable context for sourcing specialised materials.
  • Knowledge of composite raw materials or site services procurement is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is equally valued.
