New Opportunity as a Business Support Officer within the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
This is a temporary role for 3 months initially. The working hours are 36 per week with an hourly rate of £14.52.
The role is based in The Active and Health Communities Department, Market Street, Downpatrick. The post-holder will provide flexible, high-quality administrative and business support across a range of Council functions, ensuring efficient office systems and excellent customer service. Responsibilities include providing confidential administrative and secretarial support to Council Officers, processing applications and financial transactions, maintaining accurate records and data systems, and preparing reports and correspondence. The role also involves organising and servicing meetings, supporting departmental projects and events, and liaising with internal teams, external agencies, and the public. The post-holder will contribute to maintaining service standards, implementing improvements, and supporting the delivery of the Council’s Corporate and Business Plans.
