We currently have an opportunity for a Business Support Officer to support our community mental health services across Shropshire.

The role will provide and maintain a business support function necessary to support our Service Managers and Leads in meeting the Trusts objectives and targets. You will proactively monitor and validate patients on a clinical pathway.

We are looking for someone who can identify with the following skills:

  • Strong computer and keyboard skills with knowledge of all Microsoft Office software
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Problem solver.
  • Able to extract, understand and analyse data from a range of Trust systems highlighting performance issues to a range of disciplines.
  • Honesty, integrity and commitment.

You will be working 37.5 hours across a 5 day week, Monday to Friday supporting the Adult Mental Health services, primarily the Primary Care Network Psychologists across the whole of Shropshire in ensuring that we meet the Trust's Key Performance Indicators.

The role requires a knowledge and understanding of data and the ability to manipulate data in a variety of ways.

You will need to be able to approach clinicians highlighting performance issues requesting action for data to be corrected or completed on the Trust's patient clinical system.

Main duties of the job
  • Request information / activity reports that are required on behalf of the Service Manager and Leads including data timeliness, DNA\'s, ethnicity, waiting times, cancelled clinics etc.
  • Provide a central point of contact to respond to/resolve any queries on behalf of Service Manager and Leads where appropriate in relation to all Key Performance Indicators.
  • Process staff change forms and relevant letters; data amendment forms; termination forms and general HR relevant information.
  • Support and participate in the Business Meetings held on a monthly basis within the clinical teams.
  • Contribute to a robust and strong cohesive framework from the established BSO network, providing support to colleagues to ensure consistency and equity of provision across Services.
  • Responsible for liaising with Corporate / Support Services to obtain data / performance reports.
  • Provide regular monthly Service/Team updates as required to Service Manager and Operational Team Leader.
  • Monitor ESR, Healthroster, PowerBI and other Trust systems to ensure compliance with staff mandatory training/appraisals/sickness - providing reports as necessary
