Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer in the South Kent Fostering Support Team within the Kent Fostering Service. This is a permanent full-time position, based at Westchurch House, Godfrey Walk, Ashford incorporating hybrid working.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support in a confidential environment with strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task, manage diaries, and maintain Excel spreadsheets; confident using database applications.
- Use initiative to prioritise workload to meet deadlines in a demanding environment and collate/manage data as required.
- Interact with a range of multi-disciplinary professionals on a variety of matters and handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team while also working independently and remotely to a high standard.
Qualifications and Skills
- Good working knowledge of MS applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets and confidence in using database applications.
- Excellent diary management, a confident telephone manner, and a high standard of spoken and written English.
- Strong administrative and IT skills, with the ability to collate and manage data.
- Excellent numeracy skills, attention to detail, and adherence to financial procedures and best practices.
