Job description

Our client, an exclusive use wedding & event venue located in Cheltenham, is looking for a talented and dedicated Sales Consultant to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. You will be responsible for driving new non-wedding business for the venue in order to achieve budgeted revenue and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have solid MICE sales experience and ideally some operational events knowledge.

Duties will include:
  • Drive the sales for Non-Wedding business
  • Proactively sell the venue to new clients
  • Adapt sales solutions to meet client needs and expectations
  • Actively seek and support marketing opportunities for the venue
  • Identify need periods and undertake a comprehensive program of sales activity to secure new and ad hoc business minimizing the impact of low activity periods
  • Prepare sales reports, action plans and measure performance against budget and business trends
Essentials:
  • Articulate and clear, with a professional manner
  • Friendly and approachable when speaking to customers
  • Hungry for sales and happy being out conducting field sales
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Commercially savvy
  • Strong communication skills
