Business Development Manager – NHS

Location: Midlands & Northern England

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 DOE + Uncapped Commission

The Company

Our client is a well‑established British manufacturer and supplier of mobility aids and hospital equipment, with over 50 years of heritage in the healthcare sector. Operating under a recognised and trusted brand, the business is currently undergoing a period of growth and investment, presenting significant long‑term opportunity.

The Role

This is a field‑based business development role focused on expanding NHS sales across the Midlands and Northern England. You will be responsible for promoting and selling a portfolio of hospital equipment, with a particular emphasis on patient chairs, alongside complementary product ranges.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing new business opportunities within the NHS while managing and growing existing accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key NHS stakeholders, including TVNs, clinicians, nurses, and other decision‑makers
  • Identifying opportunities for product trials, evaluations, and conversions
  • Supporting new product discussions and launches
  • Working collaboratively with distributors and internal teams to maximise market penetration
The Ideal Candidate

You will be a driven and commercially focused sales professional with:

  • Proven experience selling into the NHS
  • Existing NHS contacts relevant to mobility aids or hospital equipment
  • A strong ability to build long‑term relationships with clinical and procurement stakeholders
  • A proactive, self‑motivated approach and a desire to succeed within a growing organisation

Experience within hospital furniture, patient handling, mobility, or capital medical equipment would be highly advantageous.
