General Summary
Reporting to the Director, of Sales in the agreed territory. This position forms a critical part of the Rochester Electronics EMEA sales organization driving a key business development strategy to the overall Company Business Strategy:
- The core responsibility of the role is to uncover, develop and grow new customer business across the territory/territories.
- Own, develop, and execute Business Plans and Sales Strategies to maximize revenue growth, increase market share and position the company as a strategic supplier with the newly developed customer base.
- With a focus on building strong interpersonal customer relationships, the role will suit a dynamic individual who thrives off the challenge of researching new customers and markets with a tenacious appetite to win.
- Exceed defined targets for both customer engagement and revenue budget for associated territory/territories.
Responsibilities
- Owner of new customer activities within a defined territory/territories, working in conjunction with the relevant Director of Sales to increase the customer base and sales engagement.
- Responsibility for identifying new customers and opportunities, gaining information and developing strategies utilizing all available resources to significantly grow the number of trading customers within the agreed territory.
- Provide quotations and order entry processing for existing and new customers within territory/territories and build relationships with key decision makers, to cross‑sell and upsell within the business throughout.
- Responsible for the closing of all new customer business, and the onboarding of new customers.
- The position will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle from lead generation, qualifying business opportunities, creating and delivering sales presentations, creating sales proposals, negotiating and closing the deal.
- Promote the full range of Rochester Electronics products and services.
- Participate fully in all Global and EMEA sales promotions.
- Responsible for accurate and timely forecasting of new business opportunities and revenue for the territory and ensuring CRM is utilized and maintained on a daily basis.
- Provide effective communication and service to the customer base and effectively navigate internally to influence decisions and priorities on active business opportunities.
- Managing and driving the customer base in the territory to a point where a full handover position is reached. It will be a joint decision in conjunction with the Director of Sales on what customers will be selected, packaged, and handed over to the relevant strategic business sales team, at a point in time that makes good sound business sense.
- Must be willing and able to travel on occasion.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing a large territory and working independently.
- Strong proven business development sales experience and a proven track record of successfully selling high‑tech product solutions (strong working knowledge of the Semiconductor industry preferred).
- Proven background in developing relationships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers and influencers.
- Excellent communication, negotiating/closing skills with customers and prospects.
- The English language is a must, any other European languages may be required or advantage.
- Flexibility and multi‑tasking, ability to undertake several tasks at once and manage them efficiently.
- Ability to work through a problem and maintain focus with little or no supervision.
- Positive attitude with an ability to absorb & learn quickly.

- Clearly demonstrates a strong, focused, dynamic desire to succeed and a track record of delivering the required level of performance.
