Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Development Manager Data Centre to join our team in Ramsgate, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Distribution Business Segment, you will identify new opportunities and generate further business relationships across the Data Centre market in Europe.

Job Responsibility:

Join us during an exciting growth phase and play a crucial role in ensuring the best value for our customers and driving opportunities for Cummins. In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering design, project management and global business development teams to determine the best value Cummins can offer to suit the requirements of the Data Center customers.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals, complying with relevant company and country guidelines and legislations.
  • Support the overall sales strategy through good communication and coordination across the sales organization.
  • Mentor to support the development of less experienced sales and account team staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a business development or sales role with commercial acumen.
  • Technical background with knowledge in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Adaptable approach with outstanding communication and teamwork skills, capable of working on complex projects.
  • Previous experience within the Data Centre sector is beneficial.

  • £47,600 - £59,500 (depending on experience)
