Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Assistant Manager within a large or multi-home service.
  • Strong background in supporting children and young people with EBD and/or LD.
  • Excellent knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and SCCIF frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational management of the childrens home in line with Ofsted and Childrens Homes Regulations 2015.
  • Ensure all care planning and safeguarding procedures are adhered to and regularly reviewed.
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure the home maintains a minimum Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.

Job description
About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Childrens Registered Manager to lead and manage a 3-bed home supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and / or Learning Disabilities (LD).

As the Registered Manager you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care compliance with regulations and creating a safe nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Location: Slough

Salary: per annum (DOE)

Bonus: 3000 Signing Bonus Competitive Benefits Package

Home Type: 3-Bed Childrens Residential Home (EBD / LD)

Tasks
  • Lead the operational management of the childrens home in line with Ofsted and Childrens Homes Regulations 2015.
  • Promote a positive safe and supportive culture for both staff and young people.
  • Ensure all care planning and safeguarding procedures are adhered to and regularly reviewed.
  • Manage budgets staffing and resources effectively.
  • Recruit train and develop staff ensuring a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities social workers and external partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure the home maintains a minimum Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Experience
  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Assistant Manager within a large or multi-home service.
  • Strong background in supporting children and young people with EBD and / or LD.
  • Excellent knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and SCCIF frameworks.
  • Experience managing budgets and allocating resources.
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to manage emotionally challenging situations.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate.
  • Copy of passport.
  • If not a British citizen valid Share Code and proof of Right to Work in the UK.
