We are seeking a Business Development Manager for our Mid-Market team, responsible for generating revenue by closing sales of new business opportunities for our MEP products. Trimble MEP provides integrated Building Information Modelling (BIM) services and solutions for the MEP industry. You’ll have the chance to showcase our newer market offerings such as Stabicad Electrical and pursue sales opportunities for Trimble products.

Success requires travel, prospecting, qualifying, account planning, research, discovery, preparing and presenting company overviews and product demos, handling contract negotiations, and closing deals. You will develop and close contracts for software subscriptions and consulting services.

What You Will Do:

  • Sell products including Stabicad Mechanical & Electrical, ProDesign, Total Estimating & Trimble Connect
  • Sell our wider AECO portfolio (Tekla, Viewpoint & SketchUp)
  • Stay current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Manage key accounts, identify new opportunities, renew contracts, and build long-term relationships
  • Deliver software demonstrations for selected products
  • Collaborate with the technical pre-sales team to acquire new customers
  • Network and foster B2B relationships
  • Attend site meetings, customer premises, and exhibitions as needed
  • Achieve KPIs set by Sales Management
  • Use Salesforce to log contacts, generate quotes, and process orders
  • Provide sales forecasts when requested
  • Coordinate with Lead Development, Sales Engineers, Customer Service, and Professional Services

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in selling construction industry software solutions, ideally within MEP
  • Understanding of technology's role in construction
  • Experience with complex tenders and meeting deadlines
  • Experience with sales methodologies and CRM tools like Salesforce
  • Fluent in English with strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills
  • Organized, methodical, motivated, and a team player
  • Willingness to travel at least 20%
