The role requires a dedicated professional to manage sales strategies, drive customer acquisition, oversee marketing campaigns, and ensure compliance with trading standards. The Business Development Manager will enable the company to respond to increasing consumer demand, improve customer engagement, and optimise both retail and wholesale operations. Responsibilities
  1. Liaise with directors and senior staff to define the product range, sales targets, and long-term growth objectives.
  2. Analyse customer feedback, sales figures, and market trends to identify opportunities for new product lines and wholesale partnerships.
  3. Develop, manage, and implement marketing campaigns across in-store, online, and wholesale channels, including pricing strategies and promotional initiatives.
  4. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing wholesale clients and retailers, while securing new accounts to expand the company’s trading footprint.
  5. Oversee customer accounts, negotiate credit terms, and ensure smooth processing of wholesale orders and retail transactions.
  6. Recruit, train, and mentor junior sales staff to enhance customer service standards and operational efficiency.
  7. Produce detailed reports and recommendations on marketing performance, sales trends, and competitor analysis for senior management decision-making.
  8. Ensure that the company remains competitive on Ilford Lane’s busy retail corridor by introducing innovation in merchandising, store layout, and product positioning.
