Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities

Reporting to Sales Director, you will set and achieve ambitious objectives, including the following core responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within our market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients
  • Understand client needs, proposing tailored solutions to drive value and growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused proposals and presentations
  • Stay informed of market trends and competitor activity, providing insightful feedback to shape our strategy
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activity and provide regular reports on progress
  • Uphold compliance and best practices across all stages of the sales lifecycle
Skills and Experience We Value in Business Development
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar client-focused role
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Confident presenter, able to engage clients and stakeholders at all levels
