We work in close partnership with local authorities to provide placements that prioritise stability, safeguarding, and individualised care.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in expanding our service and strengthening our relationships with local authorities across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a business development strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with commissioners and placement teams within local authorities.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new placement opportunities, ensuring that the needs of children and young people remain central to service growth.
  • Lead on tendering and framework applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor market trends and policy changes within children’s social care to inform strategy and service development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business opportunities with operational capacity and high-quality care delivery.
About You
  • Proven experience in business development, commissioning, or contracts management within children’s social care (or a closely related sector).
  • Strong knowledge of local authority commissioning processes and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work strategically, with a focus on sustainable growth and positive outcomes for children.
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
