We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in expanding our service and strengthening our relationships with local authorities across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a business development strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with commissioners and placement teams within local authorities.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new placement opportunities, ensuring that the needs of children and young people remain central to service growth.
- Lead on tendering and framework applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Monitor market trends and policy changes within children’s social care to inform strategy and service development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business opportunities with operational capacity and high-quality care delivery.
About You
- Proven experience in business development, commissioning, or contracts management within children’s social care (or a closely related sector).
- Strong knowledge of local authority commissioning processes and frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work strategically, with a focus on sustainable growth and positive outcomes for children.
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
