Overview
To act as a New Business Producer in the best interests of the company. This role will primarily be responsible for proactively sourcing and developing new business opportunities ensuring continual business growth in order to maximise profitable revenues in line with company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Actively seek and respond to all new business opportunities whilst exceeding your targets.
- Focus on the needs of your retail customers, upsell where appropriate.
- Contribute to our overall target, act as a strong performer, great teammate, and act with the highest integrity.
- Attend trade related dinners, AGMs, trade shows, expos etc.
- Utilise interpersonal skills and networking at all levels to seize new opportunities.
- Negotiate effectively with Underwriters and Insurers to secure the most appropriate terms.
- Present a dynamic and professional image of our company to everyone you meet, actively encouraging open dialogue about our industry and our expertise.
Qualifications
- Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII orII would be an advantage.
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with intermediate knowledge of the commercial insurance industry.
- Previous experience in the insurance industry is crucial, having worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLAs.
- A keen eye for business and sales management experience gained in a commercial setting.
- Proficient in MS Office; Acturis experience would be advantageous.
- Eligibility to work in the UK with the ability to travel.
