Job summary

A leading international broker seeks a dynamic Business Development & Insurance Broker to join their Hong Kong team. This position involves building strong client relationships and driving growth in the general insurance market. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, IIQE Paper 1 & 2, and over 3 years of experience in insurance broking or business development. The role requires excellent communication skills, as well as fluency in English and Cantonese, with Mandarin as a plus.

Join our Hong Kong team as a Business Development & Insurance Broker and take charge of building strong client relationships while driving success in the general insurance market.

We are looking for a dynamic, accountable, and presentable professional to join our leading team at an international broker. This role combines business development and insurance broking, serving corporate and commercial clients across multiple industries. You will be responsible for driving growth, delivering tailored risk solutions, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop business opportunities and manage a portfolio of corporate clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build strong, long-term relationships.
  • Provide risk advisory, prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and ensure timely placement.
  • Support renewals, claims, and tender submissions.
  • Stay informed on market dimen trends, competitor activity and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate and build rapport across teams to design;;; implement growth strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree; IIQE Paper 1 & 2 required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in insurance broking or business development.
  • Strong knowledge of general insurance products such as property, casualty, liability, financial lines and local regulations.
  • Proven ability to conduct sustainable business development and manage client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus.
