Overview

BUSINESS ANALYST (12-MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT) Business Analyst Mid 2. Job title: Business Analyst (12-month fixed term contract). Location: Leeds, Sofia, London, Dublin. We are looking for a Business Analyst (BA) with a specialism in data. We use data in many ways at PokerStars - to enhance revenues, excite players or ensure compliance. You will sit within our Data & Analytics (D&A) tribe, serving the wider business, and players. This role will support a significant organisation & technology transformation programme, helping to ensure PokerStars stays market leading for years to come by having the most innovative & engaging Poker experience. You will play a key role across one of four Data initiatives: Lakehouse, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Intelligence (BI), or Product Analytics. You will collaborate closely with collaborators to identify, triage, analyse, invent, and plan opportunities to use data to achieve programme goals. This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with your team members and collaborators to address challenging data issues, aiding in reaching sprint objectives
  • Regularly create business requirement documents, providing clarity on business needs and resulting data assets and solutions required to meet them
  • Monitor the quality of work and feel empowered to question your squad(s) results as needed
  • Confidently query data / dashboards to support data-driven decision making
  • Maintain product documentation, ensuring products are understood and used purposefully
  • Support cross squad information dissemination and reporting, accurately presenting systems, data, and processes for your area
  • You have worked for several years as a Business Analyst or have relevant experience
Qualifications
  • You are a skilled problem solver, and can apply a variety of business analysis techniques
  • You have experience working with data, databases, and BI systems
  • You can query complex data assets using SQL or similar
  • You find it easy to assimilate knowledge, and share this with others in a variety of methods
  • You are an effective communicator and can adapt your message to meet audience needs
  • You are a self-starter. You are proactive, energetic, and motivated to add value
  • You have experience working in an agile organisation, and championing agile practices
  • You are comfortable operating in fluid situations, responding quickly to changing priorities
