We're working with a high-profile Client who urgently needs a Data-Focused Business Analyst to support a strategic review of their national data services. This is a key role in helping the client understand how data is currently consumed across the organisation—and where inefficiencies, waste, or underuse may be happening.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work across multiple teams to assess current data usage and service models, with the goal of recommending improvements that deliver greater value for money (VFM) and improved service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Discovery Phase: Review data service contracts and assess current SLAs for efficiency, effectiveness, and value for money.

• Behavioural Analysis: Engage with service providers and consumers to understand behaviours, motivations, and challenges.

• Conduct root cause analysis to identify areas for innovation in service use.

• Operating Model Exploration: Co-design new service models based on evidence and insights.

• Explore sector-wide support models, enterprise contracts, and continuous improvement frameworks.

• Report & Roadmap: Deliver a suite of evidence-backed business change options.

• Recommend a national data service model and outline a roadmap for transition and improved transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness.
