About the role

The Opportunity

We are looking for a friendly, well‑organised Office Receptionist and Administrator to be the first point of contact at our Nido Volans site. You’ll play a vital role in supporting learners, their families and visitors, and in keeping the centre’s day‑to‑day administration running smoothly.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a team, values clear communication, and is motivated to make a difference in the lives of young people.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Welcoming visitors and being the first point of contact for families, carers and professionals
  • Answering calls, taking messages and responding to enquiries clearly and professionally
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential learner records, including health and contact details
  • Supporting admissions, withdrawals and changes to health or medication information
  • Handling general office tasks such as letters, emails, ID passes and Oyster card top‑ups
  • Assisting with events such as enrolment days, open evenings and inductions
About You

We’re looking for someone who can bring professionalism, empathy and strong organisational skills to the role. The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least one year of experience in an administrative role
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a small team
  • A respectful, flexible approach when working with learners, families and colleagues
  • Experience in an education setting (desirable but not essential)
