The UK's independent nuclear deterrent has existed for over 60 years to deter the most extreme threats to our national security and way of life, and that of our NATO Allies. To ensure that we have a credible and capable nuclear deterrent for as long as the security situation requires, we are building four new nuclear armed submarines - known as the Dreadnought Class - and replacing our nuclear warheads. These renewal programmes will utilise world-leading technology and are a showcase in science and engineering, highlighting the prowess of British industry.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
The Defence Nuclear Enterprise (DNE) is made up of several government and industry organisations which form part of the MOD that sustains the UK's nuclear deterrent. This includes the organisations, programmes, and people within government and industry that help deliver the UK's nuclear capability.
Business Administration Apprenticeship Scheme Level 3. During your apprenticeship you will work towards the Business Administration Level 3. This is an industry and globally recognised qualification that provides you with academic preparation and underpinning skills necessary to prepare you for your future whilst not running up student debt. The duration of the apprenticeship programme will take approximately 12-15 months. The responsibilities of the role are to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.
As Business Apprentice you will provide support for Business Services to delivery teams within The DNE. You will support in collating information and seek advice to ensure that effective business management services are consistently provided to multiple stakeholders. You will be given learning opportunities to develop your Business Management skillset in a supportive environment, through both on the job and as well as wide range of other options to develop your Capability.
Please note: whilst MOD undertakes hybrid working, due to the role being Business Services there will be regular attendance on site required, expected to be a minimum of 3 days per week but could be greater due to security requirements.
